When she was introduced in 1985 the Sea Ray 460 Express Cruiser reigned supreme as the largest full-production sport yacht on the market. With her aggressive, low-profile appearance and reversed arch her appeal was such that the 460 became a very good-selling model for Sea Ray. She rides on a solid fiberglass hull with prop pockets and a wide 14-foot, 11-inch beam. This 460 has a two-stateroom interior (Plan A) with two heads?a layout designed for extended cruising with family or guests. Outside, the big bi-level cockpit is arranged with double helm and companion seats forward and a foldaway bench seat at the transom. Large hatches in the bridge deck floor provide good access to the engines. Additional features include wide side decks, teak covering boards, transom door, swim platform, and side-dumping exhausts. Twin 550hp 6V92 Detroits cruise around 18 Kn (around 25 knots top).
